Experimental and Numerical Investigation of Brick Masonry Panels Strengthened with CFRP and End Anchorages

Unreinforced brick masonry buildings face a high risk of in-plane shear failure during earthquakes... This research explores the in-plane shear response of one-third-scale English-bond masonry panels under monotonic diagonal compression to assess CFRP strengthening and the role of through-wall fan anchors. The research uses locally available bricks and mortar to ensure the findings represent typical construction practices in developing regions.
