My contribution

Created the complete SAP2000 academic project, including the modelling, analysis and supporting project work.

Overview

A team academic study of extending a five-storey structure to ten storeys, including a roof water tank, structural analysis and supporting BIM documentation.

Workflow

Assess the existing five-storey model, develop the proposed extension, review lateral-load and member-check outputs, and compare the coordinated BIM documentation with the analysis model.

Technical features

The final-submission package contains SAP2000 models, Revit evidence, tabulated analysis outputs and a report. Only the final-submission evidence should be selected for this case study.

Limitations

The academic assumptions are not a construction-ready design. Cross-software verification includes an unresolved torsional-period discrepancy. Tank and foundation assumptions require further validation, and reported checks have not been independently reproduced.
